An agreement on the sanctions against the Belarusian officials has been reached in Brussels. The restrictions will affect the banking, potash, and oil industries, Radio Liberty reports.

According to Radio Svaboda, correspondent Rikard Jozwiak, the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union will adopt the restrictions, and their announcement is expected next week.
The names of persons and organizations subject to the new sanctions will be published in the official EU journal.
