Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya attends Munich Security Conference


Politician Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya has had her first meeting with European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ilva Johansson, Tsikhanouskaya’s Telegram channel reports.

During her visits, Svyatlana Tsikhanovskaya often receives gifts that show the talent and character of Belarusians. She gave Ylva Johansson a brooch in the colors of the national flag made by a Belarusian artisan.

Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya also had a working meeting with the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko.

She thanked Vitaliy for the large white-red-white flag hoisted over the City Hall. She added that Ukrainians understand the need for international solidarity in difficult times like no other. The meeting discussed the assistance of the Belarusian diaspora in Kyiv and the support of the Belarusian mass media and human rights activists working in the Ukrainian capital.

Negotiations with prime ministers, ministers, and technology companies of various countries are scheduled today.

Several topical issues will be discussed at the meetings, including Lukashenka’s trade-in Belarusian sovereignty and independence, withdrawal of Russian troops from Belarus, annulment of deals with Lukashenka after 2020, etc.

Munich Security Conference-annual conference has been held in the German city of Munich since 1962. It is an essential security conference in Europe.
