Ukraine security service discovers hidden weapons during exercise on border with Belarus
During the anti-terrorist exercises in the Rivne region, SBU officers found a cache of weapons and explosives. The arsenal was found in the woods near the village of Butovo, literally near the border with Belarus.
The arsenal was discovered during one of the stages of the SBU exercises, namely, during the testing of the border strip of the state border of Ukraine. The cache contained rocket-propelled grenades, explosives, and cartridges for a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
The ammunition was sent by SBU employees for examination.
Investigators opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 263 (“Transfer, storage, purchase, transfer or sale of firearms, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices without a permit provided by law”) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
