The Investigative Committee sent a letter containing a summons addressed to his minor daughter, Raman Pyakarski, who is now residing in Warsaw, said on Facebook. Some other members of his family also got subpoenas.

Pyakarski is a Belarusian citizen, but he has been living abroad since 2007.

“My daughter was born in 2012. She is a citizen of another country, but she has a temporary residence permit in Belarus. The girl has a household registration in Karelichy (Hrodna region). At the beginning of the year, a criminal case was instituted against me over my civic stance and the comments I left on Telegram channels,” the man stressed.

According to him, Belarusian investigators summoned for questioning all persons who are registered at that address, including his disabled father. The officers told Pyakarski’s mother that they would come and search their place.

As reported earlier, the deceased Brest resident Maryna Silich was called in for interrogating by the Investigative Committee in March. Earlier, a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 363 (‘resistance to police officers’) was brought against her son.
