Belarusian authorities block two websites with financial info

The websites infobank.by and prokopovich.net were blocked in Belarus.

Infobank is an information site with data about exchange rates and all the banks in Belarus and reviews on them. In addition, the site prepares its analysis of what is happening in the foreign exchange market and conducts research on banking and financial topics. After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Prokopovich.net published analytics about its impact on the Belarusian economy.

The Prokopovich.net website placed ads with contact details of people who wanted to sell and buy foreign currency at a mutually beneficial rate. With the collapse of the national currency in Belarus, the site has seen many ads.

The current Belarusian law prohibits the purchase, sale, and exchange of foreign currency without a license or state registration.
