Political prisoner Gayane Akhtian was detained in late November under an administrative article, and recently has been transferred to the detention center in Valadarski street, Reform.by reports.
After searching the woman’s home, security forces published a video with the caption “Parents are responsible for their children.”
“She is in custody and has been transferred to the Valadarka prison. Yesterday they brought her a parcel,” Raman Khalilau said.
Gayane Akhtian is a resident of Polatsk, mother of the anarchist activist Raman Khalilau.
On November 26, 2021 law enforcers raided Gayane’s apartment and conducted a search. The woman was detained and taken to the Polatsk city police department, where a report was filed under Article 24.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences. Then the woman was sentenced to 10 days of arrest.
Later it emerged that Gayane became a suspect in a criminal case under part 1 of article 342 of the Criminal Code (“Organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them”). She was transported to Minsk to the temporary detention facility.
