12 people forcibly tested for coronavirus in Astravets district


The Astravets district prosecutor authorized the compulsory medical examination of 12 people, BelTA informs.

Employees of the Astravets district center of hygiene and epidemiology identified the first level contacts of the COVID-19 infected persons. At the same time 12 of them evaded the compulsory medical examination.

“On the basis of article 19 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On prevention of spreading diseases, which are dangerous for the health of the population, human immunodeficiency virus”, the medical-consulting commission of Astravets approved a compulsory medical examination of these persons in hospital conditions,” said the prosecutor’s office.

Given the high probability of infection, Astravets district prosecutor authorized this decision. It’s not reported how these persons had been found and taken to the medical institution.

These people were under medical supervision for several days, and then isolated at home. Each of them was required to abide by the rules of self-isolation.

Earlier 15 Russian citizens, working at the BelNPP construction site, were hospitalized with suspicion of coronavirus. Later it became known from the media that they tested negative foe COVID-19, so everyone returned to Astravets.
