Belsat journalists awarded 'Prize for the Freedom and Future of the Media' in absentia

Journalists of Belsat TV channel Katsyaryna Andreyeva and Darya Chultsova received the award “For Freedom and Future in the Media” in absentia. The ceremony took place in Leipzig, Germany, on October 8th.

The Media Foundation Sparkasse Leipzig annually awards the prize “Prize for the Freedom and Future of the Media” in memory of the peaceful revolution that took place in East Germany in 1989. The prize is awarded to journalists, publishers, and media outlets who are committed to protecting and expanding press freedom while demonstrating a willingness to take risks, courage, and a firm belief in democracy.
