Opposition leader Svyatlana Tsikhanoskaya recently said in a live broadcast that she has no plans to run in the next elections.
“I didn’t think about it, first of all, because I promised people that they would give me a mandate for a new fair election. But having gained all this experience, I am sure that I will be able to be useful to Belarusians and I will be there for them. But you don’t have to be president to be useful.”
She does not plan to create a political party, however, she welcomes the initiatives of Pavel Latushka and Viktar Babaryka.
Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya also stated that she would like to have a meeting with the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the negotiations are already underway.
