During her visit to Poland, Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya discussed reform projects with the vice president of the European Investment Bank.

Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya, together with the head of the Cabinet of Representatives Valery Kavaleuski and the representative for economic reforms, Ales Alyakhnovich, held a meeting with the vice president of the European Investment Bank, Teresa Czerwinska.

They discussed potential reform projects and investments in the economy of the new Belarus. The main task now is to turn the general agreements into concrete projects, which will help Belarus during the transition period and afterward.

Last week Tsikhanouskaya met with the head of the bank Werner Hoyer and the president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odile Renaud-Basso.

Tikhanovska thanked the EBRD president for the bank’s principled position after the elections in Belarus and expressed confidence that the democratic changes in the country would create conditions for the EBRD to resume all its activities in Belarus.
