Book 'Belarusian Donbas' to be presented in Ukraine

The book ‘Belarusian Donbas’ will be presented in Kyiv. It is a study on the participation of Belarusians in the war in eastern Ukraine.

Its authored by the two Belsat journalists Ihar Illyash and Katsyaryna Andreyeva. Katsyaryna has been recently imprisoned for two years for broadcasting a protest rally on November 15. The book has been declared extremist by a Minsk court.

The book tells, in particular, about the influence of Belarus on the conflict in eastern Ukraine, the role of the Belarusian special services, their mercenaries and Lukashenka in this war. At the same time, the authors also paid attention to the Belarusians, who fight in Donbas to defend the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The presentation of the book will be attended by its co-author Ihar Illyash, director of the “Folio” publishing house Alexander Krasavitsky, head of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine Serhiy Tomilenko, deputy of Ukraine, head of the interfaction deputy association “For Democratic Belarus” in the Supreme Council of Ukraine Alexey Goncharenko, first secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine Lina Kushch and the editor of the outlet, Ukrainian journalist Andriy Diktyarenko.

The event, organized by the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and the Belsat TV channel in Ukraine, will be held on 8 April at 11 a.m. at the NSJU Pers Center.
