The pedestrian part of the bridge over Nyamiha street collapsed in Minsk late at night on January 8, the Ministry of Emergencies of Belarus reports.
There were no casualties. The causes and circumstances of the accident are being investigated.

According to the general director of “Gorremavtodor of Minsk City Executive Committee” Dzyanis Hlinski, the preliminary cause of the bridge collapse is the aging of reinforced concrete structures, designed in 1962.
“Dismantling the overpass and designing the construction will take about a week,” Hlinski said.
He also noted that the expert conclusion of the bridge made in 2021 is being checked.
The bridge over Nyamiha which collapsed in Minsk will take a week to dismantle.
