Political prisoner Yegor Dudnikov faces new charges


Yegor Dudnikov has been charged again. The political prisoner, a citizen of Russia, is charged under Part 3 Article 130 (“inciting social hatred by a group of persons”), the HRC “Viasna” writes.

Human rights activists are aware that the security forces have brought a new charge against a 21-year-old Russian citizen Yegor Dudnikov. Under Part 3 Article 130 of the Criminal Code (“inciting social hatred by a group of people”). He faces up to 12 years in prison.

Dudnikov was detained on 5 May this year. Under part 1 of article 342 of the Criminal Code (“Organization of group actions that grossly violate public order”), a criminal case was brought against the young man. The case was launched because Yegor voiced videos and audio messages in the “OGSB” Telegram channel.

After his detention, Yegor reported torture and beatings.
