Two honorary consulates of Belarus will stop working in Iraq. This decision was taken by the country’s authorities, reports Kurdish newspaper Rojnews.
Honorary Consul of Belarus in Erbil Fuada Hamada informs that Honorary Consulates of Belarus in Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, will be closed. The diplomatic missions will be closed by the decision of the Iraqi government.
According to the European special services, the biggest number of migrants, who illegally entered the EU territory, are Iraqi citizens.
Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Iran had a telephone conversation with the head of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus, Uladzimir Makey. The official Minsk has never reported on this conversation. Tehran demanded to resolve the issue of a group of Iranians stuck at the border of Belarus and Lithuania.
