According to Nasha Niva, the terms on which Henadz Kireikau, the founder of the RAPA group, which, among other things, owns the chain of Green hypermarkets, may be released from detention, have become known.

As relatives say, Kireikau already knows the amount. It is 5 million USD. His family are already collecting the sum.

Some say that the real reason for Kireikau’s detention is the position of some managers of the Green chain, who actively participated in protests against lawlessness and election fraud.

Henadz Kireikau was detained in early February. People familiar with the situation say that formally the authorities “calculated something”, but the real reason for the detention is political.

Also, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said at the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly that he’d ordered the security forces to deal with one of the trading companies, which would not work anymore. Journalists believe that he meant the chain of Green stores.
