Naftan trade union leader detained in Navapolatsk

On September 3, the police detained Vadzim Mikhailau, an employee of the Palimir plant. He is the deputy chairman of the primary organization of the Belarusian Independent Trade Union of Naftan JSC.

According to the “Stachka Naftan” telegram channel, Mikhailau’s car was stopped by traffic police inspectors. Then he was taken to the Navapolatsk City Police Department, where they filed a report for sticking a “Pahonya” (Chase) coat of arms on the car trunk.

Vadzim Mikhailau will be kept in Navapolatsk until the trial, which will take place on 6 September.
