Dmytro Kuleba said that the accusations of arms supplies from Ukraine to Belarus are untrue:

“As for Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s statements, he likes such resonant statements. He often talks in headlines that immediately hit the media. One should always remain calm and always understand that Alyaksandr Lukashenka is a person who should be thoroughly fact-checked. And I assure you that his statement about weapons smuggling from Ukraine to Belarus will not pass through any fact-checking, because it simply does not correspond to reality by any parameters, as well as his statement that the border is closed,” said Kuleba at a press conference in Kyiv.

The foreign minister also stressed that “Ukraine is not looking for a conflict, but Ukraine will always defend its interests very tough if someone tries to impose this conflict.”

As a reminder, on July 2, Lukashenka instructed border troops to completely close the border with Ukraine allegedly because of “a large number of weapons coming from Ukraine to Belarus.” But later, the Belarusian Border Committee said it only planned to strengthen the protection of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. No closure was reported.
