Given that the pressure on Belarusians is stepped up and activists are detained at factories and large enterprises every day, the only way out is a nationwide strike, the organisers of the event believe.

According to the participants, they showed solidarity not only the Belarusian Workers ’Union, but also with all those who are fighting for freedom in the neighbouring country, with all imprisoned and repressed in Belarus.

The marching people stretched a large banner with the inscription Strike Is A Blow To The Dictatorship, as well as the ten-metre white-red-white flag. The column walked through the centre of the city and reached the Belarusian consulate.
