On May 19, Lithuania filed a claim with the International Court of Justice regarding Belarus's violation of its obligations under the Protocol Against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea, and Air, which was adopted on November 15, 2000 and supplements the United Nations Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime. This was announced by Pavel Latushka, the deputy chairman of the Joint Transitional Cabinet.
