The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has drafted a law providing for the compulsory nationalization of assets belonging to the Russian Federation as a state that has launched a full-scale war against Ukraine and its residents.

Ukraine can nationalize movable and immovable property, funds, bank deposits, securities, corporate rights, and any other property located on the territory of Ukraine and belong to the Russian Federation. It is envisaged that nationalization will take place without compensation. This will be decided by the National Security and Defense Council and put into effect by a presidential decree.

After sanctions were imposed against Vladimir Putin and his entourage in European countries, the property of oligarchs and officials was arrested.

In France, the yacht AMORE VERO, which cost $120 million and belonged to Igor Sechin, head of Rosneft, was arrested. German authorities arrested the yacht of billionaire Alisher Usmanov worth $600 million.
