At the recent meeting with the head of the State Control Committee, Vasili Herasimau, Alyaksandr Lukashenka expressed concern over the issue of gray salaries, reports “Pool of the First”.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka says that some businessmen complain to him about the practice of gray salaries in other firms. In his opinion, it is necessary “once and for all” to stop it, so that never would “that hydra raise the head.”
“We apparently need to introduce responsibility for those who take this money in envelopes. Then they will stop taking. And if they stop taking it, there will be less desire to pay. Therefore, we must put everyone on an equal footing,” said Lukashenka.
Earlier, head of the People’s anti-crisis management Pavel Latushka said that high-ranking Belarusian officials receive at least €600 per month in envelopes. He used to receive such money himself.
