Polish border guards record over 17K attempts to cross border illegally last month

According to Polish border guards, in October alone, they recorded almost 17.3 thousand attempts to illegally cross the Belarusian-Polish border, reported the Polish Border Agency.
In September, there were about 7.5 thousand of such attempts, and more than 3.5 thousand in August.

On October 31, Polish border guards prevented 470 attempts to cross the border illegally. Exit decisions to leave the territory of Poland were made in respect of 87 people.
Soldiers of the operational troops and military police were sent to the border to assist the border guards. Now 9,000 Polish border guards are already serving on the Polish-Belarusian border.
