Brest residents fear that iPower factory which is expected to appear in the free economic zone ‘Brest’ will pose a serious threat to their health. About 37,000 persons have signed the petition against building the enterprise; some of them are intimidated by the local prosecutor’s office.

“If the construction does not stop in a week, I will go to the [main] square, take a voice amplifier and tell passers-by about the risks dangers. We will protest every Sunday,” blogger Kabanau promised.

The bloggers received prosecutorial warnings for the statement above. On February 23, the men were detained. The duo were accused of calling for holding an unauthorized mass rally.
