Belarus introduces visa-free regime with China


The relevant decree has been signed by President of Belarus Alyaksandr Lukashenka. The visa-free regime concerns the citizens of the People’s Republic of China who have passports for official trips.

The decree provides for visa-free entry, exit, transit and temporary stay in Belarus for up to 30 days.

Passports for official travel are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the Chinese foreign institutions, the Department of Foreign Affairs to deputy heads of a county and below, employees of budgetary organizations, state-owned enterprises and joint-stock financial institutions.

The decree comes into force after its official publication.

China is among the 80 countries with which Belarus has established a visa-free regime, provided that the period of stay on the territory of our country is not more than 5 days and entry into Belarus is done via the National Airport. 5

The abolition of visas was discussed on May 16 during a meeting of Alyaksandr Lukashenka with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
