Belarus opened its doors to foreigners from 80 countries


On February 12, Belarus introduced five-day visa-free regime for the citizens arriving in the national airport “Minsk”.

In January, President Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed a decree # 8 “On establishment of visa-free entry and exit of foreign nationals”.

The decree applies to 39 countries in Europe, including the entire European Union, as well as Brazil, Indonesia, the US, Japan and other countries. The new rules cover the so-called “non-citizens” or “aliens” in Latvia and persons without Estonian citizenship.

To enter Belarus without a visa, you must have a valid passport or other document for traveling abroad, cash (for each day of stay in foreign currency or Belarusian rubles, the equivalent of at least 2 base units), medical insurance for the amount of not less than 10 thousand euro.



The citizens of Vietnam, Haiti, Gambia, Honduras, India, China, Lebanon, Namibia, Samoa must provide the document wth multiple entry visa for EU member states or Schengen area with an entry mark, as well as the airplane ticket with departure from Minsk National Airport within 5 days from the date of entry.
