Another incident at Astravets NPP. Energy Ministry confirms rumors

According to opposition activist Mikalai Ulasevich, “In the last few weeks there have been rumors in the Astravets district” about a serious incident at the construction site of the Belarusian NPP. This is what Ulasevich wrote on his Facebook.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]It follows from his post that during installation the enclosure of the future reactor fell from the height of 2 – 4 meters. The accidents could happen on July 10.

“In fact, according to the general contractor JSC Atomstroyexport, the emergency situation occurred in the storage area of the reactor body during its movement in the horizontal plane,” said the Energy Ministry report.

The Republican Unitary Enterprise “Belarusian NPP” which is a client of the project “immediately demanded that the general contractor submit all the necessary documents and information. The company is looking into the matter,” the agency noted in the comments.

Yesterday, the press office group of the company Atomstroyexport said the information about the reactor’s fall was untrue.

According to Ulasevich, the place of the incident has been cordoned off by the men in black for two weeks now.
