Poland proposes ways to simplify visa issue

Introduce biometric passports and increase the number of Polish consuls — these are the proposals that Foreign Minister of the neighboring country Witold Waszczykowski announced during a visit to the Minsk visa center.

“Poland cannot yet cancel all the conditions for obtaining visas for Belarusians, but we are doing our best to simplify this procedure. I have a number of proposals to the Belarusian authorities on how to simplify visa issue and lower its cost. It is about passports with biometric data and increase of our consular mission staff,” commented Witold Waszczykowski.

Currently, Belarus has eight visa centers, as well as the Polish diplomatic missions in the four cities where Belarusians can open a Polish national and Schengen visa.
