Касцёл амаль 100 гадоў таму закрылі бальшавікі, будынак аднаўляюць больш за 20 гадоў.

Неагатычны касцёл святога Антонія Падуанскага ў Рагачове пустуе амаль сотню гадоў. 8 чэрвеня вернікі ўжо пятнаццаты раз прайшлі да яго пешую пілігрымку, расказвае Katolik.life. Сем дзясяткаў чалавек змаглі пабачыць, як касцёл выглядае ўсярэдзіне.

Пешую 25-кіламетровую вандроўку ладзяць да дня памяці святога Антонія, у гонар якога быў названы касцёл. Сёлета пілігрымка сабрала рэкордную колькасць удзельнікаў: звыш 70 чалавек, удвая больш, чым у мінулыя гады. Вернікі былі са Жлобіну, Менску, Гомля, Светлагорска, Нароўлі. «Ужо 15-ы раз штогод мы ідзём з малітвай-просьбай аб аднаўленні храму ў Рагачове і, вядома, аб маральна-духоўным жыцці ў нашым горадзе сярод усіх хрысціянаў», – адзначыў пробашч парафіі святога Казіміра ў Жлобіне ксёндз Алег Грыгаровіч.


Пілігрымам далі магчымасць зайсці ў храм, які не дзейнічае ўжо амаль сотню гадоў, і паглядзець на працэс аднаўлення.
Новы неагатычны касцёл адчыніў свае дзверы ў Рагачове ў 1912 годзе, ён стаіць на месцы колішняга драўлянага касцёлу, які быў адкрыты яшчэ ў 1783-м і закрыты расейскімі імперскімі ўладамі пасля паўстання Каліноўскага. Касцёл дзейнічаў да 1930-х. Бальшавікі перарабілі яго ў склад збожжа, затым у цэх вытворчасці напояў і марозіва. У 1940 годзе касцёл перажыў пажар, а ў Другую сусветную вайну, падчас вызвалення гораду ад нацыстаў, у яго трапілі некалькі снарадаў. Пасля вайны ў паўразбураным будынку быў размешчаны пажарны пост, затым былы касцёл аддалі хлебазаводу. Ад 1970-х будынак пуставаў.
Пытанне аб аднаўленні касцёлу ўздымалі з часоў савецкай перабудовы. У 2000 годзе Рагачоў наведаў кардынал Казімір Свёнтэк, будынак перадалі мясцовай каталіцкай грамадзе. У 2003 годзе пачаліся рэстаўрацыйныя працы, удалося аднавіць сцены і дах. Але працэс зацягнуўся праз працу з дакументацыяй (будынак занесены ў спіс гісторыка-культурных каштоўнасцяў) і адсутнасць фінансавання – на аднаўленне святыні грошы збіраюць самі вернікі.
