More than a thousand people have shown up at Friday’s campaign rally of presidential candidate Svyatlana Tsikhanovskaya in the town of Hlybokaye (Vitsebsk region).

Another administrative case has been initiated against Zmitser Lupach, a journalist from the town of Hlybokaye, who cooperates with Belsat TV.

In the run-up to Victory Day celebrations, the Belarusian police are detaining activists in Minsk, Mahiliou, Lida, Hrodna and other places of the country. Many of them have already appeared before court; two Belsat contributors are also in the crosshairs.

Another protocol was drawn upon Zmitser Lupach, a journalist from the town of Hlybokaye, over his contributing to Belsat TV. Local police have already submitted the administrative case to court.

Mass celebrations of the 102nd anniversary of the proclamation of the BNR have been cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic.

A Sharkaushchyna court has considered the case against freelance journalist Zmitser Lupach on Monday. Judge Aksana Tabola has found him of violating the law on media and imposed a fine of 1,080 rubles (about $540) on him.
