Ukraine suspended air travel on May 26

The permanent representatives of the European Union member countries have agreed on restrictive measures against Belarus in connection with the landing of the Ryanair commercial jet by the Lukashenka regime and the political crisis in the country.

On June 4, the Council of the European Union decided to strengthen the existing restrictive measures in view of the situation in Belarus by introducing a ban on the overflight of EU airspace and on access to EU airports by Belarusian carriers of all kinds.
