Kalinkavichy resident asking prosecutor to block regnum.ru in Belarus

On October 26, the Russian news agency regnum.ru published an article calling Belarus “mad pseudostate” and the nation — “fictional”.

Dzyanis Rabyanok from Kalinkavichy turned to the prosecutor’s office.

“My dignity as a man and a Belarusian were insulted, Dzyanis told Nasha Niva. – The author of the article openly states that Belarusians are not even a people, and that our language is a dialect that is not worthy to be a separate language. My grandfather fought in the Finnish and the Great Patriotic War, from 1939 to 1945, I speak Belarusian, and they will call me a grandchild of polizei and a russophobe? Publications of this kind incite hatred! the premise that “Belarus is a mad pseudostate, whose majority of the population wants to live in the Russian Federation, is horrid,” says the author of the appeal to the prosecutor.

“I am asking the Attorney General to launch proceedings under Article 130 of the Criminal Code (incitement to racial, national or religious enmity) and make a request to the Ministry of Information that they block access to this site in Belarus,” summed up the man.
