Another of the now former presidential candidate wannabe, the ‘parasite’ Yury Shulhan was taken to the court of the Moscow rayon of Minsk instead of the CEC session. Judge Tatstsiana Matyl has sentenced the nominee of the Green party to a fine of 30 basic units for ‘petty crime’. The penalty for “appearing in a public place while intoxicated” will be imposed by the police. Mr Shulhan, in turn, believes that the authorities are simply afraid of him.
YURY SHULHAN, FORMER PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE WANNABE:
“The authorities feel threatened and lack confidence. They are not 100 percent confident, since an unknown person like me is a concern.”
Last Friday, Mr Shulhan with Mr Kanavalchyk came to the building of the Central Election Commission to apply for registration of their nominating group. However, the police did not let the applicant into the CEC, claiming the visitors were intoxicated. Later, both were taken to the detention center, where they awaited trial.
