Yarmoshyna can resign

At the election press conference in the House of Representatives CEC Chairwoman commented on the possibility of stepping down:

“Will I be working? Anything can happen. Will I retire? The probability is the same. So I cannot say anything, you consider it I intrigue,” Yarmoshyna said.

Speaking about a possible successor, Yarmoshyna noted that such positions generally do not provide for successors.

Earlier Yarmoshyna said that she would retire in 2016 — her contract was due at the end of the year.

Lukashenka appointed Yarmoshyna CEC Chairwoman on December 6, 1996, after on November 14 he illegally (appointment and dismissal was part of the Supreme Council jurisdiction) dismissed Viktar Hanchar.

During his 20-year career Yarmoshyna managed four presidential and parliamentary elections (this is the fifth). She also managed the referendum which made the powers of Lukashenka unlimited.
