Wishful thinking: ‘Russian Spring’ in Minsk (photo)


Stencil graffitis depicting an assault rifle and the slogan ‘Russkaya Vesna’ (Russian Spring) appeared on the concrete pillars not far from Filimonau street in Minsk.

As is known, the definitions ‘Russian Spring’ and ‘Russian World’ became popular after the annexation of Crimea by Russian and start of the conflict in Ukraine’s Donbas in the spring of 2014.

Right-wing Russian nationalists who keep in contact with local local separatists repeatedly called for the revision of Russia-Belarus borders.
