Pavel Stefanovich will not be shown on TV

The UCP candidate’s address made CEC laugh.

The Central Election Commission has vetoed the video address by Pavel Stefanovich due to the “violation in the field of drugs laws.”

“The Belarus 3 TV channel staff has brought us candidate addresses for examination, but you will not see him. Throughout the speech the candidate is calling for the legalization of marijuana,” said Lidziya Yarmoshyna in a conversation with “Sputnik”.

The CEC Chairwoman admitted that while watching the performance of the candidate from the UCP “they were all laughing.”

According to Yarmoshyna, after his address, Stefanovich mentioned the economic program of the party called “Million jobs”.

“It became clear at once, where the UCP plans to create these jobs,” said Yarmoshyna with a laugh.

According to the head of the Central Election Commission, candidates’ speeches must not run counter not only to the Electoral Code, but also to other Belarusian laws.
