Election 2015: first violation at polling stations

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/QMTTVcWDQN8″][/vc_column][/vc_row]Polling stations have opened in Belarus. Now voters can know in advance whether they are included in the voting lists. Overall, about 7 million people will take part in the elections. The majority of the voters live in Minsk – one million and three hundred thousand people.

Meanwhile, there are already first violations. The public organization “Right of Choice 2015” reports that the regional observation coordinator of the Movement For Freedom, Leanid Haravy has recorded violations at five polling stations at once. All of them took place in Haradok which is in the Vitsebsk region. In the first few hours here, to the lists were added from 87 to 360 people who allegedly wanted to vote at home. Because registering so many people within minutes is simply impossible, the human rights activist Leanid Haravy filed five complaints at once.

Similar violations were also detected by another observer of the Belarusian Popular Front party, Leanid Pastukhou, who found 157 similarly registered voters.
