Vitsebsk: Unemployed man threatens to blow up police station

An unemployed man called the police and threatened to blow up the building of the Vitebsk police department in Frunze Avenue.

On Sunday evening, the offender dialled 102 from a pay phone in Zhastkova street and said that the police building would exploded if ‘money was not given back’ to him.

An engineer combat group immediately arrived at the place. It inspected the building and adjacent grounds. Neither explosives nor explosive devices were found.

CCTV camera footage helped the police catch the suspect, an unemployed 50-year-old resident of Vitsebsk. He is known to have been sober during the call.
