Belarusian volunteer fighter, ex-political prisoner becomes citizen of Ukraine

Vasil ‘Syabro’ Parfyankou filed his documents to the Migration department and told Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) about a sheer impossibility to come back to Belarus.

“‘Syabro’ said that two criminal cases, including for mercenarism in Ukraine, were opened against him in Belarus. The SBU sent a request to the Belarusian KGB, and his words were confirmed. And recently our co-brother has received a passport of a citizen of Ukraine!” Mykola Kokhanivsky, the commander of voluntary battalion ‘Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists’, said on Facebook.

Vasil ‘Syabro’ Parfyankou is a brave and disciplined fighter, who spent two months fighting in Pisky and was wounded there, Kokhanivsky stressed.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
