Belarusian authorities to drop policy of maintaining jobs


At the opening of an global entrepreneurship week in Minsk the Economy Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Zinouski said that Belarus will abandon the job preservation policy.

It will be replaced by the increased impact of each employee, telegraf.by reports.

“Productive employment is the first of the five economic priorities. The transition from a policy of maintaining jobs to the most efficient employment policy,” sputnik.by quotes Zinouski.

Authorities will pay particular attention to the investment and increased productivity. In addition, they will seek to increase the competitiveness of the economy, ensure social justice and economic independence for citizens.

Uladzimir Zinouski also noted that the government will create favorable conditions for business development. To this end, no new taxes will appear in Belarus in the next five years, and no old ones will be increased either.
