A new Ukrainian defense doctrine should recognise Russia as a state threatening Ukraine’s territorial integrity, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.
“Ukraine needs a new defense doctrine clearly determining who the aggressor is and who is a threat. The new defense doctrine should designate Russia as an aggressor state and the principal and only country that threatens Ukraine’s territorial integrity and national security,” Yatsenyuk said at a government meeting on Wednesday.
Ukraine will start building a wall on the border with Russia, he added.
“We are launching the Wall project. The issue concerns the construction of a real wall on the border between Ukraine and the Russian Federation,” the top official said.
