Belarusian murdered in US on his way to see newborn son


The 32-year-old Dzyanis Slabada was shot in the head on September 26, in the city of Federal Way, Washington. The reason for the murder could have been a road accident, local media reported. The man had a second son born, his wife was in hospital with a newborn baby.

Szyanis’ brother was the last person to see the man alive. He told reporters that on Monday evening, Dzyanis came to visit him — the next day he for the first time went to the new part time job as a limousine driver.

Dzyanis told his brother tha ont the road another driver cut in front of his car and nearly crashed into him. The Belarusian man stopped and tried to figure out what’s going on. He got into an argument with another driver, a man of Asian origin, who pulled a gun. Dzyanis left, but the killer followed him and parked not far from Anton’s house.

Upon reaching his brother, Dzyanis asked for a registered gun that Anton had for self-defense. Dzyanis showed Anton the man from the window, but it was dark and he was unable to see him. Anton Slabada refused to give him weapon and advised to wait.

Dzyanis left his brother’s home for hospital, but was killed on the road. According to one source, he was shot in the head from behind. As of Tuesday morning, the police have not yet described the suspect.

Dzyanis Slabada had 6 brothers. The family emigrated from Belarus in 1998.
