The representatives of the U.S. and Belarusian Defense Ministries have discussed the issues of international security on Tuesday.
“On 29 March 2016, meeting of the Belarusian Defense Minister Andrey Raukou and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Michael Carpenter has taken place. The sides have exchanged views on the issues of international security in the military field,” the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministrty reports.
As reported earlier, Michael Carpenter is visiting Minsk March 28-30.
According to the U.S Embassy in Minsk, Dr Carpenter is also scheduled to meet with president Alyaksandr Lukashenka and the Foreign Ministry officials.
The visit has followed the consultations in which the Belarusian Defense Ministry participated in Washington in December, 2015.
