13 performers became finalists of the Eurovision 2017 national selection. A total of 67 applications were submitted.
Applications came from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Turkmenistan, the United States and even Nigeria. Well-known Belarusian musicians, composers, singers, critics were among the members of the shortlisting panel.

The final concert for Belarus’ Eurovision entry will be held no later than 25 January 2017. The winner of the national selection will represent Belarus at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest to be hosted by Kyiv (Ukraine).
At the 2016 Eurovision song contest Alyaksandr ‘IVAN’ Ivanou, a representative of Belarus, performed the song Help Me Fly. He failed to get into the final.
