A farming company in Lahoisk district that was praised by president Alyaksandr Lukashenka has been put on a list of non-taxpayers.

In early July the Belarusian leader visited Tsna Ecoproducts, a ‘vigorously growing’ farming company that, according to state-runmedia, ‘achieved high performance results. Alyaksandr Lukashenka approved of the way of running the business by its owner, Uladzimir Adamovich.

The president noted that for the sake of reviving unprofitable or low-profit agricultural enterprises it is necessary to rely on private farmers among other things.

“A third or a quarter of state-run agricultural enterprises underperforms. <…> We have good private farmers, who have earned a good reputation. If they want to, you can give some underperforming enterprises to them,” Lukashenka said.

However, on August 1, Adamovich’s farming company found itself on the list of entities that have tax dues.
