Belarusian citizen detained in Kyiv airport on Interpol request

Ukrainian border guards would not disclose the name of the detainee. It is known that the Belarusian was wanted for robbery, press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine reports.

“During passenger registration for a Kyiv – London flight, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus matched the Interpol database. The man was in wanted internationally for robbery,” said the statement.

Now the National Police is dealing with him.

Last year Belarus was in the top 25 countries by the number of criminals wanted by the International Criminal Police. Now the open data base (there is also a closed one) has 150 persons from Belarus.
