There were two citizens of Belarus among the tourists on the MSC Splendida cruise ship. They were not hurt in the terrorist attack and already returned to the ship, BelTA reports.

“The Belarusian Embassy in Italy kept in close contact with the relevant Italian authorities and managed to ascertain that there were two Belarusians among the passengers of the MSC Splendida cruise ship who were on shore excursions at the Bardo National Museum in Tunisia at the time of yesterday’s terrorist attack. According to the Italian authorities, the Belarusian citizens were not hurt. They returned to the ship that already left Tunis for Barcelona,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

On 18 March a group of terrorists disguised in military clothes got into the parliament building and then into the Bardo National Museum where they opened fire on tourists. Many foreigners were taken hostage.
