Top 5 historical manors Minsk can be proud of


Only several buildings remained intact in the post-war Minsk. Thus Belarusians usually go on historical and cultural trips to Hrodna, Nyasvizh or Mir. We have compiled a list of top historical estates of Minsk, which everyone can visit in their spare time.

The Loshytsa Manor House

For a long period the manor was the center of cultural life. It was visited by Stanislaw Moniuszko, Józef Pesca, Vincent Dunin-Martsinkievicz, and by some accounts even Stanislaw August Poniatowski.

The Pszesdecki Estate

Built in the XVIII century. One of the owners was the Secretary of the Minsk nobleman’s deputy assembly, Yuri Kobylinsky, created his own cabinet of curiosities, where there was a collection of coins, minerals, antiquities, books, manuscripts, including the original of the GDL statute and even a map of Christopher Columbus. Now the building houses the Art Gallery of Mikhail Savitsky.

The Vankovichy Manor in the Great Slepyanka

The farmstead was built in the XIX century. and belonged to the Vankovichy in the first half of the 20th century, among the guests were Eduard Vainilovich, Jan Damel and other famous cultural figures. But in the Soviet era, there was a potato plant, a state farm office, a school of the NKVD, a greenhouse complex, a club, and residential apartments. In 2009, the estate was bought and repaired, which cost 10 million dollars. Now it hosts a fashionable restaurant.

The House of Vankovichy

Another Vankovichy manor house, built in the first half of the 19th century, is located in the very center of the city, on the International street. The owner of the house, Eduard Vankovich, was visited by his friends, among them Vincent Dunin-Martsinkevich, Stanislaw Moniuszko, Jan Damel.

The Adadurov Manor

Manor of the late XIX century., Belonged to Nikolai Adadurov, engineer of the Libau–Romny Railway. In 1947, Vitold Byalynitsky-Birulya lived and worked here. In 2016, the estate was sold at auction.
