'The Gang': Movie claims Belarus regime involved in kidnapping critics of Lukashenka

The international community suspects the Belarusian law enforcement officers of kidnapping them. Lukashenka’s opponents were allegedly abducted before the 2001 presidential elections; why hasn’t the truth about the fate of the missing revealed yet?

Raisa Mikhaylouskaya, the author of the film ‘The Gang’ tried to find the answer to this question.

“The present situation in Belarus is the logical result of what happened 16 years ago,” the filmmaker said at the first night in Warszaw on September, 24.

The premiere was attended by well-known Belarusian opposition politicians including former political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich.

“The main killer is not the one who moved the trigger, but the one who gave the order,” Statkevich during the presentation of the film.

“The film contains compelling evidence of the authorities’ involvement in these disappearances and you will see it,” Svyatlana Zavadskaya, the wife of the missing cameraman, said.

Belsat TV will televise the movie on September 27 at 20:25.
