Special operation in Urals: FSB officers neutralize… apples

The officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB) tracked down and destroyed six boxes of fruits in Yekaterinburg.

As the information is included in the operational data of the FSB, no details were given, e.g. to which company the items belonged to.

“During the operation, banned imports articles – six boxes of fresh apples of undetermined origin – were discovered in one of the warehouses,” the regional office of Rosselchonadzor, the Federal Service of Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, informed.

The officers of Rossielchoznadzor, which was a partner in this operation, took 77 kilos of seized apples to a rubbish dump 70 km off Yekaterinburg. There, the suspect fruits were liquidated: first, they were bulldozed and covered with soil.

In July 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that enacted incinerating sanctioned products. The blacklisted goods are pressed, burnt, buried and poured away. These measures will be taken not only on the border but in entire Russia, including in shops and warehouses.
