In footsteps of Depardieu and Seagal: Film star Jackie Chan may meet with Belarus president

The iconic actor Jackie Chan who is expected to arrive in Belarus wants to be welcomed at the airport by the Belarusian president, or at least the Prime Minister, his agents in Belarus say.

Tomorrow his show Dragon King is to be held in the palace of Sports in Minsk. But apart from showing up at the event, the film star is looking forward to meet with the country leaders.

“We are working on this issue. We were at the embassy of China, and if they fail to help us, we will reach out to the presidential administration,” says Pavel Yakaulevich, a representative of Sonorus company which is staging the show in Minsk.

The organizing company hopes for the best: if Alyaksandr Lukashenka managed to feed Steven Seagal a carrot and make Gerard Depardieu cut grass, why wouldn’t he be eager to meet with Jackie Chan?, following
